2012 Bailey House Gala—Lexington Armory, 2012

Bailey House raised over $425,000 this year in their annual gala fundraiser held in the Lexington Armory in New York City. All funds raised went to support their mission of helping the homeless and stopping the spread of HIV/AIDS.

Support this year came from a variety of furnishing and luxury leaders, including Elle Decor, Patron Spirits, Room and Board, Brooks Brothers and European hardware giant Hans Grohe. This year’s auction high point came when Hugh Hildsley of Sotheby’s auctioned off first-class airfare and runway tickets to Jean Paul Gaultier’s pret-a-porter runway show in Paris for just under $10,000.

Of course, behind the four hours of glamour were literally hundreds of hours of work by a dedicated host committee. We were excited to have worked with them and look forward to 2013! With barely any time to breathe, we are in the middle of planning our work for Design on a Dime 2012 for Housing Works, the country’s largest HIV/AIDS charity.
